The room, display, speakers, seating, acoustics, lighting and equipment infrastructure all affect the final experience. We design them together rather than treating each component separately.
Room Planning
Screen size, viewing distance, seating position and equipment locations are considered from the beginning.
Display Selection
Projection and direct-view LED can both deliver exceptional results when matched correctly to the room and performance target.
Immersive Audio
Speaker layout, subwoofer placement and processing are planned around the room geometry and listening positions.
Lighting Control
Step lights, feature lighting and architectural lighting can be coordinated through DALI, DMX and Control4 scenes.
Equipment & Rack
Amplification, processing, sources, networking and control hardware are organised for serviceability and long-term reliability.

Control4 can combine source selection, audio, display, lighting and other room functions into a simple user experience.
Projection or direct-view LED.
Different rooms call for different display technologies. The right choice depends on room conditions, required image size, brightness, visual impact and overall design intent.
Projection
High-performance projection remains an excellent option for dedicated cinema rooms, especially where a very large cinematic image and acoustically transparent screen are part of the design.
LED Wall
Direct-view LED can create an exceptionally bright, high-impact image without a conventional projector. Opulent can incorporate premium LED solutions such as Absen into private cinema designs where appropriate.
The soundtrack should be engineered around the room.
A private cinema needs more than powerful speakers. Channel layout, speaker placement, subwoofer strategy, amplification and calibration all need to work together.
One command can transform the room.
The technology should disappear once the film starts. Control4 can coordinate the cinema system and the wider home around simple scenes.
Movie
Power the room, select the source, set the audio mode and transition the lighting to the cinema scene.
Pause
Raise selected lighting gently while keeping the room in the current entertainment session.
Intermission
Bring pathway and feature lighting up to a comfortable level without fully resetting the room.
Goodnight
Shut down the cinema and return lighting and other selected systems to the preferred after-use state.
A private cinema built around direct-view LED.
A current large residential project includes a dedicated home theatre using an Absen KLCOB V2 LED wall, integrated alongside Control4, DALI lighting and the wider multiroom audio system.
This is a strong example of the Opulent approach: the cinema is designed as part of the home’s wider technology ecosystem rather than as an isolated room.
